Sustainable Development Plan-SDP Tsum 2011" in December 2011 in Kathmandu
Tsum Welfare Committee-TWC has organized a day long workshop on "Sustainable Development Plan-SDP Tsum 2011" in December 2011 in Kathmandu. The workshop was participated by some 50 local people representing monastic institutions, elder's group, father's group, youth group and women. Similarly, group of experts including TWC's advisory team presented technical papers on Tsum's cultural heritage, bio-diveristy, economy and ongoing North South Transit Route development. The main objective was how Tsum can be developed by unique model of sustainable community development i. e. economical growth without compromising social, cultural and environmental values. The steering committee has been assigned to prepare a "SDP Tsum 2011".

Workshop on Sustainable Development Plan Tsum 2011-2021
Tsum Welfare Committee-TWC is going to organize a day long workshop on “Sustainable Development Plan Tsum 2011-2021”. The objective of workshop is to draw the planning and development framework with multifaceted aspects such as enhancement of local economy, preservation of cultural heritage, conservation of nature and environment. The workshop aims to bring-together multidisciplinary stakeholders in local, district, national and international level. The workshop will be hold on Saturday 24 December 2011. चुम दिर्गाकालीन विकास योजना २०६८-२०८८
चुम कल्याण समितिले गोर्खा जिल्लाको दुई दुर्गम गाउँ विकास समितिहरू चुम्चेत र छेकम्पारको “चुम दिर्गाकालीन विकास योजना २०६८-२०८८” कार्यशाला आयोजना गर्ने भएको छ। कार्याशालाको प्रमुख उद्देश्य चुम क्षेत्रमा सांस्कृतिक तथा वातावरणीय सम्पदाको संरक्षण गरी कसरी स्थानिय आर्थिक विकासको प्रगति गर्न सकिन्छ भन्ने विषयमा केन्द्रित हुनेछ। जसको लागि चुमसंग सम्बन्धित स्थानिय, जिल्ला स्तरीय, राष्ट्रिय तथा अन्तराष्ट्रिय निकायहरूलाई एक ठाउँमा ल्याउने प्रयत्न गर्ने छ। कार्याशाला २०६८ साल शनिवार पुष ९ गते बिहान १० बजेदेखि बेलुका ५ बजेसम्मा हुनेछ। निश्चित समय तथा स्थान पछि तोकिने छ।

Tsum Welfare Committee has recently organized 2 day health camp in upper and lower Tsum in first week of December 2010. About 500 locals have directly benefited from this health camp. The health camp team consists of our generous donor Mr. Tony Sells, his wife and friend all the way from Australia. There were about a half dozen of Nepali medical doctors comprising of physician, surgeon and gynecologists. Due to Tsum's remoteness, locals have almost no access to basic health care; the nearest motor head is 5 days walk. Tsum Welfare Committee is looking for volunteer doctors from all around the world in future.
